MORE ABOUT ME
When I was 17, my mom bought me a Big Book of College Majors. I started alphabetically with the "A" section. One of the first professions on the list? Advertising. I pointed to the description and said, "Yup, that's the one." From then on, my life has been dedicated to marketing and advertising. I attended college at University of Colorado, Boulder and excelled in their Advertising program. Since then, I've been working as a marketing consultant for 8 years, helping brands in dozens of different industries.
Many folks think of advertising as a meaningless experience that detracts from people's quality of life - but not me. I know advertising is just one venue to connect consumers to companies that will enhance their quality of life. I know that it's a mutually beneficial experience that can have a net positive impact on someone's life. I approach all of my projects with that mindset. I put myself in the shoes of the consumer - what's important to them? Why would this product make a positive impact on their life? Would this make them happier, and why? Through that lens, I partner with brands to increase their product's awareness and sales while continuing to feel good about the work we do together.
In my personal life, I'm an animal advocate and lover. I set up the organization Kittens in Colorado, where I've fostered and found homes for 100+ cats over the past couple of years. Through social media marketing, I was able to increase the visibility of the program to make our mission of finding animals homes easier. On Instagram, we reached 30,000 followers in less than a year. At home in beautiful Denver, Colorado, my husband and I have two cats and one dog who are my pride and joys. Together, we read a lot on Reddit and watch a ton of great TV.
